Professional and Academic Career
Aurora Lopez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University and a specialization in Photography from the same university. She also has a certificate in Film Production from the New York Film Academy and is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, French, and German.
Aurora has worked on the investment committee of Grupo Onyx, where she was involved in defining investment policies, monitoring performance, and approving investments. Additionally, she founded «Mirador Store,» a clothing and accessories shop in Greenwich Village, New York, and served as Associate Vice President at Credit Suisse Private Banking in New York.
Social and Philanthropic Commitment by Aurora López
Aurora actively participates in the Mario López Estrada Foundation, developing educational and health projects primarily aimed at vulnerable populations in Guatemala. In 2016, she contributed to the creation of the «Desarrolla Guatemala» Foundation, which provides advice and support to cultivate a dynamic and ethical research ecosystem.
She has also been an ambassador for the David Lynch Foundation in Guatemala, helping to create infrastructure for transcendental meditation teachers and implementing a pilot program for teaching transcendental meditation in public schools.
